Are you interested in art and the Sustainable Development Goals? Have you ever heard of murals? Murals are wall paintings in public spaces. They are the most common art form in Latin America. The Muralismo movement originated in Mexico in the 1920s. Their works usually have national, socio-critical and historical content.
In Münster, there are several murals that were created under the auspices of Vamos e.V. and thematise various global sustainability goals.
As part of a 2-hour bike tour organised by B-Side Kultur e.V. and Vamos e.V., you will have the opportunity to get to know these murals. One of the artists involved, Jorge Hildago, will accompany us and describe the paintings and their content.
Individual booking
It is possible for groups to book tours with individual appointments. Please contact Vamos e.V. for more information.
The price for groups is 150 euros.
The individual goals cannot be strictly separated but are partly interlinked. Goals that the Murales Tour clearly covers are “no poverty”, “gender equality”, “climate action”, “life on land” and “peace, justice and strong institutions”. Depending on the mural, “food security”, “health and well-being”, “quality education”, “fewer inequalities”, “life under water” and “global partnership” are also addressed.
