Greenpeace Münster

Greenpeace fights for the preservation of the last primeval forests, for the protection of oceans, for sustainable agriculture, for the coal phase-out, for the transport transition and for peace. In addition to Greenpeace Germany's major campaigns, we also launch local projects:

Think globally - act locally

Greenpeace Münster was founded in 1981 and is one of over 100 local groups throughout Germany that work on a voluntary basis to promote environmental protection and peace within the framework of Greenpeace issues. We endeavour to educate our fellow human beings at local and regional level about peace and environmental problems, to get them involved and to encourage them to take concrete action.

Our tour: The "watercourse"

We at Greenpeace Münster have been offering an interactive city tour since the corona pandemic: With our water course you can explore the city, sometimes on hidden paths, pass Münster's sights and at the same time solve puzzles and tasks on environmental and especially water topics. You will follow the watercourse from Münster's historic city centre to...? Why don't you find out for yourself? Have fun on the Münster water course!

The water course takes about an hour and is also ideal for schoolchildren. All you need is one smartphone per small group with the "Biparcours“.

SGDs (global sustainability goals) of the tour

The main sustainability goal for the "watercourse" is SDG 6: "Sufficient water of the highest quality". But here, too, the goals are interlinked, so that SDG 13: "Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts" and SDG 14: "Life below water" are also addressed.
