"On road to sustainability by bike (“Leeze")"

On various circular cycle tours (north, south and east route), various sustainability stakeholders in Münster are visited and a wide range of opportunities for action in the name of sustainability are presented.

Historical city tours

Women's history city tours (by women for women) are currently on offer. Many things in Münster are reminiscent of women in past times: Churches, street names, buildings, works of art... . Join us on a search for traces.

Interreligious cycle tour for species conservation

Protecting life concerns us all! How can we protect ourselves and other species in times of multiple and increasing climate catastrophes? What do religions say and do? Discover ecologically interesting and spiritual places in Münster.

The "watercourse"

This tour follows the course of the small river Aa. On partly hidden paths and along places of interest, you will learn lots of interesting facts about water. The route can be explored individually using the "Biparcour" app.

Climate walks

Artistic tours

With murals for global justice and sustainability! Together with one of the artists, these city tours take you by bike to impressive murals that were created as part of the nationwide World Building Site Campaign in Münster on the World Sustainability Goals.

The SDG tour

In 2015, the United Nations adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - visionary goals for a more sustainable, social and ecological world. With topics such as climate adaption, gender equality, water and consumption and by using local examples the tour shows challenges and opportunities for achieving these goals and illustrates what local politics and we ourselves can achieve.

In our Bound (online quiz), you can get to know unknown stories and facts about well-known places in Münster relating to the topics of biodiversity, climate, gender equality, water, sustainable consumption and fair trade.

Geocaches nature and climate

As part of the EU-wide campaign "Game On - Don't let climate change end the game!" for a socially just climate transition, various geocaching routes have been created in Münsterland. Discover the effects of the climate crisis on our city, our ecosystem and our everyday lives while geocaching (online scavenger hunt using geographical data).

Nature tours wild herbs and mushrooms

Nature asserts itself everywhere - whether as dandelions between paving stones or as stonecrops in the blazing sun. Discover the edible side of our surroundings with anecdotes about plants, nature and our environment and learn to perceive nature more attentively and understand the environment better.

Masematte tour

On the bike tour through Münster, we will visit neighbourhoods where Masematte originated in the mid-19th century and learn about the background and special features of Münster's lost special language Masematte at these locations: how did it come about, what does it have to do with the Holocaust and how is this language viewed today?
