Women's History working group Münster

Since 2010, the woman´s history working group Münster offers the women's history city tours (Frauenhistorische Stadtrundgänge) on the 1200-year history of Münster. And by that, continuing the programme developed by Marion Böker (historian) in 1991/92 with the Schwarze Witwe - Autonome FrauenForschungsStelle Münster e.V. - today FFSt. D.I.W.A. Münster e.V..

Together with the Autonomous Women's Department of the AStA of Münster University and the Equal Opportunities Department of the FH-AStA, the working group invites all interested women to the tours with changing topics.

Our tours: Women's history city tours

We offer various women's history city tours: General city tours provide an overview of Münster's women's history and report on interesting, rebellious and "impossible" women. In addition, tours are also organised on the key topics listed below: Not all traces have been erased yet, quite a few have been rediscovered: many things remind us of women who lived here at other times - churches, street names, buildings, works of art, schools. But where do we find these traces on our daily walks through the city or in the history books and how can we read them? You can discover these traces on our city tours.

Our city tours are organised by women for women.
