The City of Münster Climate department (formerly the Municipal Coordination Centre for Climate and Energy (KLENKO)) invites you to take guided walks through the southern district, the city centre or through the Hohe Ward Forest. On the one hand, we focus on the consequences of climate change and how they affect our immediate vicinity. On the other hand, possibilities for adaptation to the consequences of heat, drought or heavy rainfall are demonstrated on site.
Many questions are answered along the way: Where is climate change particularly visible? Where are there unknown climate oases? How do trees or green spaces affect the microclimate in the city? Where is there potential for climate adaptation measures?
Even long-established Münster residents learn something new during the walk.
A fundamental goal of this tour is SDG 13: "Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts". As the individual goals are interlinked, SDG 3 "Good health and well-being", SDG 11: "Sustainable cities and communities", SDG 14: "Life below water" and SDG 15: "Life on land" are also addressed.
