Vamos e.V.

Since 1987, we have been working as a non-profit organisation on topics that point out the concrete connection between our lives here and those of people in countries of the Global South. We campaign for greater solidarity, provide information through travelling exhibitions on development policy and educational materials, provide impetus for global thinking and action, facilitate encounters and encourage people to get involved. Because movement brings change.

As the supporting organisation of the One World Promoter Office for Münster and the southern Münsterland region, we provide information, advice and networking on issues of global justice.

Our tours:

FAIRführt! Consumption-critical city tours in Münster and the southern Münsterland (Coesfeld and Warendorf districts)

We interactively and playfully shed light on the worldwide interdependence of global production chains, discuss the background and consequences for people and the environment, question our own consumer behaviour and search for solutions together. We highlight sustainable developments and approaches worldwide, but especially in Münster, and visit sustainable retailers. In groups new forms of consumption can be experienced in a playful way.

Murales - Cycle tours to Münster's murals

Murals are wall paintings in public spaces. They are the most common form of art in Latin America. The Muralismo movement originated in Mexico in the 1920s and its works usually have national, socio-critical and historical content. In Münster, there are several murals that were created under the auspices of Vamos e.V. and thematise various global sustainability goals. As part of a 2-hour bike tour organised by B-Side Kultur e.V. and Vamos e.V., you will have the opportunity to get to know these murals. One of the artists involved, Jorge Hidalgo, will accompany us and describe the paintings and their content.
