Connecting and networking - with this goal in mind, the citizens' movement “Sustainable Münster” ("Münster nachhaltig") was founded in 2014. The network now includes over 100 stakeholders from administration, companies, science, citizens´ initiatives and citizens who are committed to sustainable issues in Münster and the surrounding area. We cover the areas of education, energy, nutrition, culture & social affairs, mobility, economy, environment & ecology and housing. Our regular activities include, for example, a monthly network meeting where partners can introduce themselves and exchange ideas, or the annual "Sustainability Day", on which many sustainability stakeholders present their projects, invite people to join in and show how we can make our everyday lives more sustainable.
Our city tours: On the road to sustainability by bike (“Leeze”)
With our cycle tours, we would like to introduce various sustainability players in Münster and show interested parties the many possibilities and concrete examples of sustainable action. The tours are between 7.6 and 23.5 kilometres long and last between 35 minutes and 1.5 hours. Whether as a family or alone, by bike or on foot - the three different routes (North, East and South) can be explored independently with the help of a map. The citizens' initiatives introduce themselves via short videos that can be accessed via a QR code. (e.g. Naturkost Slickertann, Abfallwirtschaftsbetriebe Münster, Weltladen la tienda e.V. ...). The routes can also be booked as a guided tour.
