Global learning with first-hand experience
The "Education meets Development" programme, BtE for short, offers educational events on global learning for schools, kindergartens and extracurricular institutions. What makes the programme special is that the speakers are returnees from development cooperation and international voluntary services as well as migrants from countries of the Global South. Together with their personal experiences, they use age-appropriate, interactive methods to illustrate the often-abstract issues of global development and make them tangible. They show the connections between the living environments here locally and the rest of the world and encourage participants to engage with the world in an open and mindful way, to ask critical questions and to campaign for social justice on both a small and large scale.
Unfortunately, BtE is not currently offering any tours of its own, but is taking over some of the dates of the joint SDG tour.

The individual goals cannot all be clearly separated, but are of course also interlinked. Goals that our tours definitely cover are SDG 8: "Decent work", SDG 11: "Sustainable cities & communities", SDG 12: "Sustainable consumption & production" and SDG 13: "Climate action". However, fair trade alone, for example, with its standards as an alternative that we have taken up, also incorporates goals such as "no poverty", "less hunger" and "gender equality".
